Bachelor of Technology in Open Source and Open Standards is a four-year course in the Engineering stream. Open Source course is a sub-subject of Computer Science Engineering course. Under the course, the students study the world of Open Source Software to teach the methods of collaboration in the healthcare and retail industry.
This specialization covers computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, android development, Linux administration, database management systems and also provides students with insights into the world of open-source and open standards along with exposure to open-source communities and open-source development methodology.
During the training in this course, the students will work with certain open-source software tools which are a correct blend of theory and practical.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum 50% Marks in Class X and XII. Minimum 50 % in PCM (Physics/Chemistry and Mathematics) in Class XII. After that, they need to qualify a relevant National or State level BTech Entrance Exam papers like JEE, UPESEAT to get admission to this course.
For entering in PG (M.Tech) program, B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering is a must.
